I Heart Faces is a photography web site with weekly photo challenges and free photography tips and tutorials.
Each Monday and Tuesday, all levels of photographers have the opportunity to submit a face photo into a themed photo challenge. A judge will pick winning photos to be displayed on Saturday. Not sure if I’m doing this download thing right – but for my edit, I sharpened photo, brightened the blues and greens using a levels adjustment and playing with the sliders under red, green, blue and RGB. I added 3 different textures that seemed to add more color contrast than actual “texture”. I erased the colors off the boy’s face. Then I used Pioneer Woman’s “Seventies” action at about 40%, added a sepia tone to it at about 20%, then warmed it up with a photo filter. I use PSE8. Thanks for letting me play!

Don’t know if I am doing this right, but here is the finished photo I edited. I only have windows live photo gallery right now, but still wanted to give it a try. I changed the tone, increased the saturation, and darkened the shadows.
