Fix-It Friday #62 – Susan Keller’s Contribution

Software Used: Lightroom 3 (LR) & Photoshop CS3 (PS)
Actions/Presets/Textures Used: Totally Rad (TRA), Shana Rae Florabella Textures Set II (FB)

With fear and trembling, and after staring at the upgrade box for almost two weeks, I went ahead and loaded LR3 onto my computer. So far, so good – I’m such a techno-fail, that I’m just happy I didn’t crash my computer in the process. ;-)

First fix:
1. In PS, duplicated the background and used the sponge tool (saturate) to brighten the chair & dress colors.
2. FB Milk & Honey action, tweaked layers.
3. TRA Select o Pop on Amy’s daughter and chair.
4. TRA O-Snap 85% opacity.
5. cropped slightly in LR so that daughter’s eyes landed on one of the “rule of thirds” intersections.

1. In LR, created a virtual copy of the above “fix.”
2. Played around with LR3′s new presets and used B&W Creative Look 3 (reduced contrast & clarity of the setting).
3. Applied LR3 preset: PC Vignette 1.
4. Added a slight split tone: highlight hue +66, highlight saturation +11.
