This month’s Pet Faces Photo Challenge gave us a chance to focus on all of those furry faces (and some not-so-furry faces) that we love! It was awesome to see the cute kittens, gorgeous dogs, creepy critters and more show up in the mix.
Special thanks to this week’s Guest Photographer Judge, Seth Casteel from Little Friends Photo. He wrote us saying “I was super impressed with all of the options – so many wonderful photos deserving of recognition!!” We could not have agreed more! :) He had a great time choosing the winners from this month’s challenge and we are thrilled to show them off to our entire community now!

Seth wrote: Love this photo! I’m more of a “dog person” than a “cat person”, but just really appreciate the emotion of this image. Although the “face” is just a very small element of the photo, it makes such a BIG impact! For me, this shows off some of the unique characteristics we can find in cats – mysterious, playful, independent, creepy. Cats engage with people in different ways than dogs do, and sometimes, a cat’s method of engaging with people could be exactly like this photo. Curious and playful- but from a distance.

This is always my favourite challenge at I Heart Faces (of course)! So much cuteness. I think all of Seth’s picks are great…number 7 by Amber really gets me! I just want to give him a big kiss.
