Welcome to our August 2012 “Pet Faces” I Heart Faces Photo Challenge!
- This photo challenge is open for photo submissions from Tues (August 7th) until Friday (August 10th) at noon EST.
- Our theme is “Pet Faces”. (Photo entry must include an animal face.) Read Photo Challenge Details
- This month’s featured Guest Photographer Judge is the author and photographer Seth Casteel from Little Friends Photo.
- We accept two forms of entries that you can read about here. Please note that we do not accept any entries from Facebook for our judged photo challenges and only one entry per person please.
- To be considered as a winner of this month’s photo challenge and to be eligible for prizes you must follow our guidelines. These include: 1) an animal face in your photo entry, 2) following the theme, 3) having only ONE image in your submission, 4) including our button in your submission, and 5) using a permalink to enter the challenge.
- You can read more info on our How It Works and FAQ’s pages. Please read the Official Rules before submitting to this photo challenge.
- Our linky system requires a backlink to I Heart Faces to be able to enter your image. A backlink just means that you need to link back to I Heart Faces (http://iheartfaces.com) somewhere in your entry post.
- Follow our Facebook Fan Page to see if we feature your photo there throughout the week!

My entry is #426! Last minute almost.
It is of my oldest son (his 14th birthday is today, actually!) with his dog, Riley. He found him in the ditch beside the road when he was a tiny puppy. I think it was love at first sight for both of them! 
@Ginger – You could enter your image just for fun. To be able to win the photo challenge though you must have an actual animal in the image you enter.

Hi,
I tried a few times and would not work…only when I chose the Iheartfaces thumbnail, then it posted, but now I have the Iheartfaces logo instead of my image…Very frustrating! I am giving up. Why does it have to be sooooo complicated???
i have question concerning this challenge, i took a photo of a baby in an animal outfit..would that count?

What a fun photo challenge! It was hard to pick one of my pet, so I decided to pick what I thought would be his favorite. And any idea why I can never get the rafflecopter thing to show up to enter the giveaway? I have done photo challenges in the past, but can never enter the giveaways (it’s not a super big deal). I’ve tried on both Explorer and Firefox and refreshing a bunch of times, even waiting a long time doesn’t help. Should I contact rafflecopter? Thanks a bunch!

I nearly had a breakdown yesterday trying to figure out how to post a picture. I had the same problem with the “back link”. Since I posted from my blog page, where I had the
choice of Permalink I used that. Still no luck. Then I realized I had to get “the button”
the image on drop down menu on I Photo Faces page. Called “Grab button, or something like that”. When I put this below my picture and then did the Permalink it all worked as it should. I don’t think it should be so hard, but it is. I haven’t entered in past months for the same reason, I just couldn’t figure out how. Use the “linky” and the button and you should be okay.

I’m having the same issue!? I’ve never had problems before but I cannot get my photo to upload to this site now. I tried to pull it directly from my computer and that doesn’t work either. Let me know if you figure out the answer to the backlink issue! Thanks!

Denise you need to go to the right of the page and grab an I heart Faces button link and copy and paste it to where your entry is eg on flickr or your blog, then come back and enter your link to your photo and it should work.

Jager is our baby… he is such a loving and protective dog. HE still thinks he is a puppy and can sit in my lap. He now drapes across me
He is now 8 yrs old and 85 pounds. For the longest time the UPS guy was afraid of him, but once I introduced them, they have become buds…. The UPS guy will drive out of his way to stop and bring Jager a treat.
