- We are proud to have started the great tradition of sharing photos of faces way back in 2009! After hosting well over 100 amazing photo challenges we decided to make an exciting change…. and it’s A BIG ONE!!
Starting this week, we’re thrilled to announce that we will be hosting one big MONTHLY I Heart Faces Photo Challenge with cash prizes and great giveaways!
Starting the first week of each month, you’ll be able to submit your themed face photo as usual. Each person who enters a photo correctly is eligible to win a fun prize and the lucky 1st place winner will receive a cash prize!
We’ll have different prizes each month and are very happy that Tamron USA is sponsoring the March 2012 “Beautiful Black & White” I Heart Faces Photo Challenge. Get ready because the challenge starts tomorrow!
The giveaway prize this month is a Tamron 17-50mm Lens (Prize Value $649)
Tamron’s SP 17-50mm F/2.8 Di-II VC’s wide-to-moderate-telephoto zoom characteristics are prized by experienced photographers, rendering a picture angle range approximating a 26-78mm lens on a full frame DSLR or a 35mm SLR. A quick run down of the ALL NEW I Heart Faces Photo Challenge:
- You get more time to take and enter your photo! Our challenge is now open three and a half days instead of just two. Each challenge will be announced on the first Monday of the month. It will then be open for entries beginning on the first Tuesday of the month and closes on the first Friday at noon (EST).
- You must still include a face and have the I Heart Faces button in your post to be eligible to win any prizes.
- For our judged photo challenges, you must enter a new photo that has never been entered into a previous photo challenge.
- For the big monthly photo challenge, we accept only one photo entry per person please.
- You get a chance to win a great prize just by entering a photo correctly!
- You could be chosen as a winner by our Guest Photographer Judge and win cash + recognition. (This prize is open to everyone who can receive a Paypal payment in US dollars.)
- We’ll announce the Judge’s Winner and Top 10 photos on the Wednesday following the photo challenge.
- We’ll announce Angie & Amy’s Favorites and the Tamron Lens Giveaway Winner on the Thursday following the photo challenge.
- For the sponsored prize, it is up to each individual sponsor as to which countries are eligible to win.
Get ready for an additional non-judged Photo Challenge we’ll be hosting during the last half of each month. Less pressure on everyone and WAY MORE fun!! (More details about this coming soon.)

@Tomara – The first two weeks of the month will be spent on our monthly photo challenge (ie. opening it for entries, posting the judge’s picks, announcing the prize winners, etc.) During the last two weeks of the month we’ll be hosting a fun, non-judged challenge which we’ll be announcing more details about soon.
Of course we will also continue to have amazing tutorial content and inspirational posts as well.

1. Can we enter pictures we’ve entered in the past ~ being that this is a ‘new’ thing? I know the rule used to be that we couldn’t.
2. Is this competition open to international participants? Especially when it comes to prizes other than monetary ones, will you be shipping overseas?
