#194 one of my favorite sessions to date!!!!
My photograph is currently #22, aptly titled, “Holy Eyelashes!”
The makeup artist I use for my high school senior girls’ shoots was dying to try out some huge, tarantula-like eyelashes she had, so we did a fun stylized shoot at our favorite coffee shop. We started just before the closed, but the die-hard coffee drinkers were either enjoying their cuppa joe too much to leave, or they enjoyed the shoot-show, so you can see shadows of people in the back. BUT, that’s part of my “black,” aside from the lashes, so I owe a thanks to those lookey-loo patrons.
The mom and dad of this newborn are both volunteer fire fighters. I loved the contrast of his delicate, 5 day old skin against the roughed, tough gear.

I am currently post #321. This is my first photo entered into I Heart Faces, and I’m excited mostly to get some feedback!
My entry is #318 – I have no idea what happened to the thumbnail, but the link does go to the real picture. A picture of my friend and her brand new baby!
I’m entry #12 (at the moment) – Eleanor’s Eye. Fun fact: she’s a triplet (she has one brother and one sister)! She is the daughter of very close friends of mine. I took that photo while we were all eating brunch together, and closely cropped it while editing. They are 3 of the sweetest kids you’ll ever meet!

I entered a picture # 307 I took of my daughter on our way to the roller derby. It was just a quick photo but it turned out to be one of my favorite of her from last year.

I entered one of my senior portraits this year. She is a photography nut as well and I think this picture with the black camera in her hands tells a story about her. Thanks for checking it out and commenting! I haven’t entered a photo in a long time!
This week I went full on artsy in my concept and post processing, I know it’s not the typical submission but I enjoyed the opportunity to express “black” in full color!

This picture was taken at an marina that had been closed down. I wanted something more masculine and the old boats were perfect! Nautical Black 268

I love this photo of Maria in Black. It was taken in front of the old Turkish castle in Skopje, Macedonia. Thanks for looking. Shelia
I went with an image from a family session I did this past Friday! Super fun family with some very active 2.5 year old triplet boys.

This is my first “official” submission since starting my photography business just two months ago. I am loving my new adventure. My post is #270 (Sam Headshot). I look forward to everyone’s feedback. Please don’t judge my website too harshly. It is still in the early stages of development. Thanks!

My first submission to “I Heart Faces” is my Goddaughter Fallon. I love this photo so much because it is so simple and beautiful. Nearly straight out of the camera, with very, very, little retouching, I think is what makes it so beautiful. Over-editing would have removed the slight color differences in the skin on her face, and those I wanted to keep, to capture her exactly as she is. Thank you for considering!
#208 boy meets girl
My newphew Gabriel was the ring boy and lily was the flower girl for my sister’s wedding. This was the morning of the wedding. They were playing kissy face. =P

Sorry,mu number is 246!
I did this photo shoot in the small town of Crescent, Oklahoma with the beautiful Cheyenne! I went for a 1940′s vintage look with a modern twist!
I am #230 – little miss Kenadee Jeanne. She was so proud of her kitty cat shirt for Halloween. She wouldn’t let me take it off for bed time. What a cutie pie!

I took the kids to get pictures made for Christmas cards possibly. Needless to say, my youngest daughter wasn’t in the picture taking mood. So taking a picture of them on one of the end bridge and I on the other end was good because you couldn’t see how upset she was. I am number 228 (The Kids) at this time.
I’m number 140–i did this shoot with a friend of mine in Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. It was a bit of a challenge avoiding crowds and finding light. This was in one of the tunnels leading up to a train platform.

As of right now i’m number(s) 176 and 181. (Posted the wrong link on 176) This image is from a recent wedding. The couples 6 year old was the ring bearer.
My photo is #133..my baby boy was trying to hide behind the brick wall. My first photo challenge and I am amazed of all the talent.

My entry is No. 154 and I took this photo during the Halloween celebrations. I hope I have done it right this time! http://www.dianatelfer.com/blog/?p=401 is the link to my blog.
This is my first time entering the I Heart Photo challenge. We had fun this weekend attending the “Wild West Days” in Cave Creek, Arizona. We watched the finale event, a staged “Gundown at Sundown” at Harold’s Saloon. My entry, from this event, is titled “Man in Black”…and I was #151 when it was submitted. Needless to say, no one survived the gunfight… It was fun to watch and the cowboys and cowgirls did a great job.

So many interesting entries this week! For now at least my entry is #132!
Wow, #120 is very black indeed. Gotta love Batman!
My photograph entitled “Princess” is of my daughter’s first enchanted princess birthday. She was loving her “throne” of specialness, and all of the attention of her special day.

My photo is #113. I hoped to represent the mystery and loneliness that I think black symbolizes in this photo.
Sharing my pic #124 oh if we could only freeze time. At least I can for a bit through my pictures. Love this week’s theme!

I entered mine twice by accident (111 & 112). Sorry!! Love the theme this week
I submitted photo number 89. This picture is of my baby, Bama. He is a 10-year old male miniature schnauzer. He loves to have his picture taken and is constantly in my lens. Half the time he licks it, and I have to stop to clean it before I can take another photo. He is one of the loves of my life and keeps me going everyday!
My entry (for now) is #104 – ‘jet black’

My photo at http://oliveobserver.blogspot.com/2011/11/i-heart-faces-black.html is of me, just messing around taking self portraits. It was one of those rare sunny November days, and I just loved how the sunlight blacked everything else out.

Hmmm… I entered a photo of my son at the barber shop, but it’s not showing up. I’ll try again.
Right now I’m #86, “Into the Sunset,” but – like it’s been said – that could change.
I entered a photo taken on a bench in Georgetown this weekend. Such a beautiful fall day.

My submission is no 57 at the moment. It’s about my eldest latest obsession with black clothing.

I submitted a photo I took when walking downtown last month. I love that in one quick snap I captured so many stories. I also love the calm of the policeman watching over the protestors. Wish I felt so in control all day, everyday.
I submitted photo no. 39. This is my very first submission (fingers-crossed that I actually did this correctly, though I will say, seeing my photo up there is reassuring).
The photo submitted is of a lovely couple whose display of adoration for one another needed no coaching whatsoever. In fact, at times they were so preoccupied with each other that I believe they may have forgotten that I was even there! But, Isn’t that exactly how it’s supposed to be? Best of luck to everyone!
as of right now i am number 35 and 38. (mrs black) i put the wrong link on the first one and don’t know how to take down my entry. if the first one can be deleted that would be awesome! so sorry for being a pain. thanks a bunch.
