“Black” Photo Entries:

If you enter our photo challenge this week, we ask that you leave comments for at least five photo submissions around yours. Our participants love this! :) Please also read the copyright and guideline info in our sidebar before entering.

Tell us about your “black” themed photo submission in the comments section below! (Please be aware that the number of your submission most probably will change if any of the other submissions have to be deleted.)

I am so super excited to participate in this challenge…it is my very first time! Thank you for making it available.

I’m normally behind the camera; it is very rare that I capture photographs of me with my kids, so one day, I’m playing with my little one, I grab my camera and snap a few pictures and this is what’s captured. When I saw the challenge come across facebook I new instantly that I wanted to participate and which image I wanted to use…black can evoke really strong emotions in me and when I look at this picture it reminds me how important it is to stop and play with my children!

This is my first time entering a photo on here, not sure I did it right. don’t quite understand the I heart faces button? I am photo entry #419 “Cowboy Dreams” I shot this darling little Cowboy for his 5 year memory capture. I have been photographing this little guy from the time he was an infant. How can you resist those baby blues! He loves to be with the horses, I got some great shots of him leading the way, he can handle pony’s and big horses. He is a cowboy in the making. This was shot with a Nikon D50. I

My photo #418 “Sunset Bubbles” shows my son blowing bubbles against a sunset sky. Although it *is* a silhouette, you can see that it is his face, plain and clear :) and black, it is! Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter!

My photography is #414 “In the Night”

You are supposed to show a face, and I showed the outline of their faces. Right? Either way, I love the color, the silhouettes, and everything about this picture!! So even if I don’t win or it isn’t quiet right, this is one of my favorite pictures, and I couldn’t resist sharing. I am even more proud of this picture because when I did this session it was something new for me. This was my first commercial shoot for some rappers who are starting out in the music business. They were ready to get some pictures and get their faces out there along with their recordings. It was different than all of my regular session, but I really felt I did my best. Can’t wait to see everyone else’s pictures and continue participating in these challenges.

Lucky #400? I hope so *grin* … This was from a recent maternity shoot … and when we walked by the washrooms, I just couldn’t resist. This was a lovely family – and I can’t wait for the newborn shoot :)

I submitted picture Tickle, Tickle #394..We had a great time exploring an old mill and I took this picture of my husband trying to make my daughter laugh again after falling in the mud (which is why she wasn’t wearing any shoes at the time) and it just warmed my heart…

After hours of trekking through a wet hot jungle we found Group 13. The time spent with them was a gracious look into their community and how they lived. Sadly, some died through poaching, others through soldiers’ bullets. What I remember is their intelligence, their patience, their willingness to allow us to enter their lives.
Jungle Love is my submission: http://jobryantnz.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/photo-challenge-black/

My entry is #377.

Captured my son in the doorway to our back patio and loved the way the darkness of our living room behind him made him pop in the picture.

This weeks submission has a touch of black in the picture, and stands out among the pink! My little girl loves to put on her sunglasses, but rarely keeps them on for too long! Love her eyes in this picture!
