I love being a photographer, and being able to capture moments for my clients. Just entered my first contest with iheartfaces! Peyton’s hand is seen grasping his grandfathers hand.

#223 layla’s hands!
I captured this photo of my little angel layla while we were apple picking! One of the best things to do in upstate NY in the fall, as the leaves are changing, it is breathtaking! As I watched my 3 children pick apples in such excitement, the joys of childhood came rushing back!
#285 -This summer I caught my daughter kissing a frog that we found in the pond behind our house. I asked her why she would do that. She said ” they turn into prince’s”. Then she gave me a smile and said “but it’s still a frog”.
I love that picture because of the puckered lips and the little hand wrapped around the frog with one little nail art heart on her finger. So child like and brings back memories of when I was a child. Oh being a kid is just so fun.
I was deleted but I’m not sure why? I know my link was correct (I tested it from this post to make sure it worked and it wasn’t to just my blog- it was to the exact post). I know I wasn’t able to put the button on the post but did link to the challenge with the exact text right under my image in my blog post per the alternate instructions (plus I was able to work the button into the sidebar on my blog
). I didn’t have more than 1 image. Help
I don’t want to make the same mistake again for next challenge, but I’m not sure what I did wrong- can you tell me so I know for future?
Thanks!

The picture I posted (“Compassion” #227, entry also on my blog leslieannes.blogspot.com where you can comment) was taken during a documenting trip to Thailand with American Leprosy Mission. We heard many stories and saw many, many lives changed by ALM. I’m glad to finally be able to share one of the hundreds of stories with the world!
Cigar Maker (#330) was taken in Ybor City, Fla., which was once known as Cigar City. A few places remain in the area that continue the cigar making tradition that was brought to Tampa from Italy, Cuba and Spain.
hey ladies! In effort to raise funds to support the art program, my daughter school holds an annual auction. Each class is to produce an art piece to be auctioned off. This is one of the projects I created with some second graders.
Have a great day & thanks for what you do!

My youngest daughter was born with a deformity of her left arm…she has a short arm, a fused elbow and had no thumb. Amazingly, surgeons were able to give her a thumb y moving her index finger over…My entry, “A New Thumb” was shot two days after her cast came off and she really looked at the new thumb for the first time.
I just discovered this site a couple of weeks ago when a friend posted her photograph of my daughter in the people’s choice contest (it got 5th!). When I saw this week’s topic I wanted to enter this photo (#132) of the hands of my husband and me to honor our son, a US Marine, as he prepares for a second deployment to Afghanistan. I have so enjoyed looking the the photos of the little children’s hands. It seems like such a short time ago that I was taking pictures of little hands, and now those hands are big and strong and risking everything for our country.
I’m an hour too late.. Wish I would have read the deadline time more closely..

Around #585 – Popsicle hands! This was taken the first time I gave my little her first popsicle – last month! Sorry for multiple entries, I kept getting error messages from Linky, but then they all appeared at once! Guess that’s what I get for waiting until the last possible second

My entry for I heart faces/lift yours hands idea came to me when my daughter was in her room painting pictures. She came in and showed me how she had painted her hand with watercolor. It was so beautiful I had to share. Some of the detail is lost in a photo but you can still see how artistic she is.
I’m currently #417 U Lookin at Me? I took this picture over the summer…my daughter found a little baby lizard sunbathing on our back patio, and she loves it when they show up..so she quickly scooped him up and he stayed on her thumb for an incredibly long time! I’m guessing he loved the warmth of sun and her thumb! I absolutely loved how it came out when I pulled it up on the computer…one of my favorite summer pics!
#560 is my first entry. I have wanted to enter your contests several times, and finally sat down and went through the steps. This is a sweet moment captured at a recent wedding. The grandparents of the bridge are holding hands as she walks down the aisle. Their love has lasted a long time, as evidenced by the years we see in their linked hands. I love this memory!
My entry is of my friend playing a pedal harp at the Lyon & Healy harp factory.

My entry is: See no evil. I’ve been wanting to do something like that for a while and actually plan on doing this during our family photo shoot for our Christmas cards. My son is my muse, and I love photographing him. He’s been in front of the camera since he was born. A lot of that is due to the fact that my husband deployed when our son was 19 days old. That was in 2003, and we’ve been through 4 deployments, so photos are very important in our lives. I love being a photographer, and being able to capture moments for my clients.

My entry (554), DisneySurprise, was the moment that we told our girls that we were going to Disney the next morning – the pure joy on my oldest daughter face, arms raised high for a high flyin hug is priceless for me and I also love the expression on my youngest – hands by her face just trying to understand what just happened and why her sister just went completely crazy….love it!
Number 552 “35 weeks” is a photography of a girl I went to high school with. She is 35 weeks pregnant and glowing! (Though the photo is black and white and does not show it.)
Image 546 is mine, but my attempt at uploading it didn’t work real well. The icon you click on takes you to the picture I wanted to use, but the icon you click on is my business name . . . SORRY!!! Not been a good day. However, the picture is a wonderful picture of a sweet couple married for 50 years and still having as much fun now as they did when they first were married. The strength in his hand still speaks loudly as he clutches the delicate hand of his bride . . .
#549 – Nana and Mason – My nephew will not hand his giraffe over to anyone….except Nana!
It won’t upload my image…tried a few times.
This image 523 was taken at the last time my children saw their grandfather before he lost his battle with cancer. Peyton’s hand is seen grasping his grandfathers hand. The image is especially moving for me because at the time we did not know this was the last time they would see him. He held his hand the whole time we were there, even though he was just 9 months old. Like he knew, what we did not.
I’m entering my favorite photo of my youngest daughter on her 1st birthday. Those cute little chubby hands are so sweet!
I love seeing all these beautiful submissions. Wow!

“In Daddy’s arms” (currently #518) I had the privilege of being with this couple as they were ready to leave the hospital with their first baby. Daddy is deaf so his hands will communicate everything to his precious little one! Here daddy is embracing his little precious gift with those hands.
When I was choosing the thumbnail, I accidentally chose the linky tool. :/ So, my entry was posted twice. I don’t know how to delete the first one I entered. It was number 514 that needs to be deleted. Thanks!

I immediately thought of this shot when I saw this week’s challenge. Hands say so much! Also, I entered twice because I didn’t see my entry (I must not have refreshed my page). This is my first entry so I wasn’t sure if I entered correctly. #510 and #511
This is my 3rd try to get the link to work…so sorry…think I’ve done it
)
Entry 511…”You and Me”
This is my first time joining your challenges, although I’ve been following them for more than a year. I couldn’t resist adding our new granddaughter’s tiny fingers wrapped around Grandpa’s hands. She was just five days old when this photo was taken on September 25th.
Hope I’ve got my links right this time.

Grandmother with her first Granddaughter…a special connection
eek! This is my first time playing along! (#506) Hopefully I did everything right! Thanks for the inspirational nudge!
I took this picture at an annual Memorial Day outing. I saw just snapping pictures from different points of view to remember some details of my son. I feel so blessed to have captured this moment!
I took this photo by standing on my chair at a Women’s Retreat Center I attended last week. Nothing like standing out in the crowd! Everyone was raising their hands in worship to a song of the same title so I raised my camera to remember the moment.
My photo is of my aunt and my mother holding hands while my aunt was transitioning in hospice because of breast cancer last year. It was very hard and still hurts, but I am glad I took it- my mom still treasures the moment being captured.
I love this idea! My photo is of my grandmothers hands, holding her great-grandson, my son

I found my daughter sitting quietly, picking the petals from the flower. This was something I loved to do as a child, so I had to capture it.

A grandmother and her first granddaughter…a special connection, which I hope you can feel in this photo.
My entry is #450 and I haven’t entered into an iheartfaces in a while. This photo is so special to me. I was in tears posting this. I hope you can feel love from my photo. Thank You iheartfaces for this opportunity.
#445 – Yesterday we went to the fair. There were so many people so we always tried to hold our daughter’s hand. Love this photo of her holding her daddy’s hand!

Hi! entry #440 here…..my first ever! I’m so excited and convinced I’ve not added all links and things so please please if anyone has a look and notices something awry, could you be a pal and let me know?! My photo is a pair of gorgeous chubby hands being a diamond in the sky. I have a plan for this idea…when I have an excellent camera (and more skilz!) i will take this in just the right light so there is a little lens flare and I will be spot on with the colour……I love this site! x
