Post image for Photo Challenge Winners | White

1st Place: Leah Cruikshank

What a fun week! Yes, it was a little more of a challenge to feature the color white but, that’s what we are here for… a CHALLENGE! It was nice to see so many people stepping outside of their comfort zones in order to really push themselves!

This week’s Guest Photographer Judge, Jean Smith, said of this week’s winning photo by Leah Cruikshank: Everything about this beautiful image flowed for me. The soft tones, the white angelic clothing, her quiet face, and the hazy foreground all combined to create a true piece of art. This photographer had an amazing eye and captured a perfectly composed image.

2nd Place: The Approximate Photographer

This image is such a cool and interesting variation of a closeup portrait! I absolutely love the dull, monotone colors (perfect for the white theme), his expression, and the non-traditional composition. I feel like it should be an advertisement in a magazine!

3rd Place: Kristen Smith

How could I NOT choose this one? First of all, there is an emotion that almost takes your breath away. Second, it is almost unbelievable that the colors could be so perfect. This image was composed brilliantly as your eye is immediately drawn to the couple who stands out amongst the sea of green.

4th Place: Melissa Dawn

Crisp, beautiful coloring, and priceless faces. Sometimes I feel it is difficult to capture the silly side of people’s personalities without it looking overboard. This is a perfect capture and I wanted to be that mom with her child in that moment.

5th Place: Gracie Jay Photography

I am a sucker for closeups and this is just priceless. Beautiful child, great composition.

6th Place: Helen John

Still giggling about this one. This is just an adorable image. Period. Nothing cuter than a dad and baby together, and just the fact that baby is on the pot pulling that face makes this a classic.

7th Place: Write184

Just a cool photo all around. Head and limb chopping sometimes doesn’t work out, but I think it’s done brilliantly in this image. I kind of wish this image was me…and it was my Facebook profile pic :)

8th Place: 50 Cent of Your Love

I love the soft desaturated tones to this image and I think the composition of this image is fabulous for bringing our eyes straight to the beautiful details of the bride’s dress and accessories.

9th Place: MJ Photography

This is such a cute and fun image! LOVE the way he is looking at her, and love how the bride and her red boots steal the show.

10th Place: Bethany Petrick

The angle of shooting down on the child is so exaggerated, but that (along with her cute expression), is what makes this image so dang unique and cute. I adore the processing on this image too!
