My entry is my niece, Laney. It was her 4th birthday. She dressed up in her princess clothes to open her present. She was very busy, but I snapped her at just the right second when the window light caught her beautiful brown eyes.

This is a photo of my daughter, Sierra. This is a cherished portrait as she is at the age where she is “too cool” to have her pictures taken. These moments are far and few between and I take them as I can get them.

My photo is #46 — “In Her Eyes” — at least that’s the number at this point :P I chose this photo of my Goddaughter because it has always been one of my favorites. She was curled up in her stroller at the pumpkin patch, sucking her thumb (like always!) with her finger perched on her nose and her serious little eyes just shine. Knowing what we know now, that she is incredibly farsighted (to the point that her eyes were crossing and she was looking sideways to focus), I sometimes wonder just what the world looked like to her back then.

This is snapshot of my cousins 2 year old daughter at a family reunion. Her eyes remind me of those huge owl eyes, beautiful and expressive. This was taken with a Nikon D5000

I got my first digital SLR from my husband for Christmas several years ago. As soon as I got it I immediately made my kids sit and pose for some pictures- even though they were in their pajamas still. My daughter grabbed a blanket trying to cover her face- but I still was able to capture her. My picture is #743 Emmy Mom

Sweet Camilla

This is my sweet little girl’s first bite of peaches. The verdict is still out whether she likes them or not. I just love the way she’s looking at the camera. This is my first entry and actually the first day of shooting with my new camera. Still learning.

This is my first time entering! My boy is #652…. In this shot he is waiting to ride on ‘The Polar Express’ all decked out in his pajamas and a coat. He is 12 years old, and his autism gives him qualities that make me want to be more like him! I just love looking at all these beautiful photos! I have lots to learn!!

First timer here, I chose a photo of my son who has amazing eyelashes (courtesy of my husband!). Even though they show up wonderfully here, it still does not do them justice—I’m constantly trying to show their depth so that I can remember staring into his dreamy eyes—he gets away with everything because of them! I really hope I posted this correctly, wasn’t sure how to use the linky. Thanks so much, love seeing your posts!

Hi! I am Entry 626. I chose to do something a little untraditional. I chose a photo that didn’t actually have “eyes” in them. The reflection of the ice cream in a pair of sunglasses mimics eyes. I think that it was makes the picture unique!

Each night at our house we dance to the song, “Brown Eyed Girl”. This is my toddler’s sweet brown eyes. Can you tell just by looking into her eyes that she loves people? She really does!

My entry: #583-Innocent Eyes…

I love this photo I took of my son. It wasn’t professionally done, and it still came out so beautiful. I use a Nikon D300 DSLR camera, and we were just outside playing around, and I sat him on the back of my car, and just took this shot out of randomness. I am so blessed to have this little boy in my life. When I look into his eyes, it makes me truely forget all the negative in my life. He (and his sister) bring me the most peace in this world. They are the reason I started photography. I knew nothing of photography, or cameras til I had them. So I also thank them both for bringing me to such a fun, and exciting hobby. =) (Sorry so long).
