Post image for Orange County Photography Workshop Recap

Photography workshops are so much fun…. especially when you are on a beautiful beach in Orange County with amazing women who share your passion for taking photos!

We were honored to finally get to meet our long time I Heart Faces contributor and lifestyle photographer, Susan Keller, as she taught our group a thing or two about photography and shared wonderful advice for those in the photography business.

It was a jam packed day on the beach of shooting and practicing techniques with wonderful models.

We had sweet sisters who Susan captured beautifully!

Lisa caught this fun behind the scenes photo of the girls.

It was such a joy to do this beautiful maternity shoot with the talented Drew B. who was due any day!! (Yes she was a trooper and walked everywhere with us!) We want to congratulate her on her new baby girl Kennedy. Yay!

We had a ball practicing a lifestyle family shoot with Drew and her family! Melissa G. captured this cute family moment.

Susan is the master at lifestyle photography and we always love her final product!

It was also exciting to have such a gorgeous woman as Tiphanie to photograph! Melissa B. captured these beautiful images of our lovely model.

We enjoyed taking sneaking peaks on the attendees cameras. There were so many talented women together!

Stacy captured Tiphanie’s amazing blue eyes!

Monica wowed us with her artistic photos!

Everyone loved their new Vintage Pearl “Dream Big” hand-stamped necklaces.

How adorable are these surfer dudes? The blonde cutie on the right has already signed a professional contract. Wow! We love this capture by Missy.

We ended the day with a fantastic dinner and business talk where new friendships were made and some lucky ladies won some great prizes! Thanks so much to our wonderful guests Julie (aka Angry Julie) and Jen Johnson for adding their great advice as well. New ideas and questions about branding, pricing and promotions went so long through the evening that we actually got kicked out of our room!  It was such an exciting night to see everyone so motivated to Dream Big!!

We can’t say it better than one attendee did…

“It was such a beautiful day, wonderful photographers, great discussion, awesome inspiration and loads of laughs!!”

After the workshop, we headed down to San Diego for BlogHer!

BlogHer is a large conference for women bloggers. It’s big, busy and full of amazing sessions and parties. We skipped out on a few sessions for a beach break at The Hotel Del on Coronado with our friend Laurie. After a super busy summer, it was nice to sit and relax a bit. We were styling with our pretty Epiphanie camera/laptop bags! We gave away several of these bags at the workshop and have heard a rumor they are half price now. Whoot! Get them while they last.

While at a fabulous Hostess with the Mostess party during BlogHer, we ran into OC workshop attendee Missy! Turns out her sister and Amy know each other through blogging, but none of us put the connection together until the party. How fun was that?!

We truly can’t thank our sponsors enough for making this workshop a possibility for our community and for providing such amazing goodies and giveaway prizes! Be sure to visit them for your photography needs.

So – do you love the Paris? I have the Ginger and could use the ability to bring my laptop along on sessions, just curious how practical it is?

Well I am sure everyone wants you to come near them….but I’d love to know if you guys ever hold a minicon for those just starting to use a real camera! I will be buying one in the next year- but feel SO intimidated by it all!

I’m in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area- and I’d love to learn from ya’ll!!
