I think I nailed it for him LOL….. We went on a big trip this summer and one of our favorite stops was at a hotel with an indoor waterpark. We look forward to rain! I had a few neat options for this challenge being we just went on vacation.

#410 – Downspout Fun
This is my son and his BFF playing outside on a rainy day in their favorite little spot. Unless there is some major thunder storm/lightning or tornado warning there’s no, “Mommy, I’m bored…” for us! We look forward to rain! : )
#112 Living on the coast there are plenty of beaches to access. One particular little bay has a great rock pool. This photo was taken late in the afternoon as the sun hit the surrounding rocks of the pool. This was my first attempt at ‘Trash the Dress’ photography. Luckily her dress only got wet.

Mine is 285-Water fun. Our son loves the water hose. This day he and his twin sister were playing out in the front yard and he thought it would be cute to “wet mama”.
#180 My first born playing in the sprinkler for the first time this summer.

#30 Taken with my waterproof camera I was able to get this underwater shot of my daughter snorkeling. I love the vivid colors and tones. The pattern the water and sun reflect on her skin. And the reflection in the ripples of water above her.
I missed the cut off for the linky, but wanted to share anyway… http://roryelizabeth.blogspot.com/2011/07/keeping-cool-in-pool-wordfulwednesday.html

My kids were playing in the jetty rocks as the tide was coming in. They had such a blast pretending they had their very own pools.

My little granddaughter Olivia is a true “water baby” she started lessons
from the time she was 6 months old & as you can see from the picture
it has brought much fun to her summer days. She still hasn’t mastered
kick…kick…kick..that explains one leg up!

I had a few neat options for this challenge being we just went on vacation. I chose to enter the one I did because it meant a lot to my middle son for me to be able to get a “cool” jumping shot of him even though he was afraid to jump from the higher rocks like his brother did. He was sad in thinking that I would not be able to get a cool one from the low point that he was at. I think I nailed it for him LOL….. Enjoy it as much as he did!!!

#460 Every time we go to the hospital for an appointment, we stay at a hotel where my little guy can swim. He loves it! He just seems to come alive when he swims! This was taken on our last visit (less than a week ago). He had just jumped into the pool and was in his own little world when he flashed that grin and I snapped the photo. =0) I wanted to have a good picture that was on his level, so I did take the camera into the pool – it was very protected and didn’t even get a drop of water on it. =0) I’m not too sure I’ll do that again, though. =0)
I captured this shot at the end of a session a few days ago. It’s amazing what you capture in a moment between two five year olds when they aren’t looking!
I enjoy Entry #392.

A very candid well composed playful moment by this photographer, Great work!
Oops…I’m #484.
My entry is called underwater babes! #495. this is a shot of my daughter and friends at a swim meet. I just loved how it turned out and makes me smile every time I see it. Great memories of some really great times.
#489 – This is my nephew & husband having fun in the pool at Big Cedar in Branson, MO…the only one that got tired was my husband….Evan could have done it all day.
I know where the photo shown about was taken! I used to live near there. Great shot!
Entry 468, La Familia Aissa
This is my youngest daughter and one of the first pictures without a floatie. She just learned how to swim and she is fearless!
Hello There!
H2O ExPlOdE is our entry and we are currently number 458. Every time I look at this photo I think of “Snips and snails and puppy dog tails that’s what little boys are made of.” This is a photo of our boys Graham and Griffin we’re from upstate NY and they were ecstatic to finally be able to get wet after the long winter!
I have some wonderful beach shots from last month, but for some reason my mind went to the bath tub photos that I took a few weeks before that. Daddy gives the girls their baths and the moments are crazy, hysterical, and sometimes, just simple and sweet.
Right now we’re 434, but it’s called Pure Joy! We went on a big trip this summer and one of our favorite stops was at a hotel with an indoor waterpark. We got to be “just the 5 of us” without staying with family or friends and the girls got to play for hours on end. My middle daughter looked back at me on her way in to the water and I snapped my shot. Then she said “Mommy my cheeks hurt from smiling so much but it’s ok”
$ 419 – SPLASHIN’ – WAS JUST ONE OF THOSE HOT DAYS WHEN SHE ASKED “MOM CAN WE GO KICK THIS HOT DAY IN THE WATER… THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT SHE DID …. KICK … SMILE
Right now, my photo is #413. My dad is helping Emma, a neighbor, feed another neighbor’s fish. I guess there really is an “art” to fish feeding.

Hello there! Well… at the moment I’m #410 (Happy Jax). I was totally surprised that I my water shot ended up in black & white, but I am inlove with it! I think the classic B&W brings out the perfect moment my little Happy Jax boy had w/ his love, aka water!

My Entry is 378…. Don’s Slip!
My 12 year old Nephew was having a blast on the slip and slide this weekend….my husband did too, but now he is whining about the pain that came with it
Some of us live on the other side of the world and it’s daytime!
Please come and visit my entry. This is my 3 year old after 6 weeks of swim lessons. We’re so proud!! He was promoted from Dolphin to Shark today!

My post features my oldest niece playing on the beach. We took a family cruise vacation in June (19 of us in all) and it was awesome! Family, fun, sun & sand – what more could you ask for?!
#346 Jack’s Sound I took this photo a couple of weeks ago. It was during sunset on the Long Island Sound. There was no photo editing involved. No flash! Just a great moment caught on camera. Not easy with an almost 3 year old. I was also holding my very squirmy 8 month old at the time. I captured a lot of memorable silhouette pictures as well as other sunset pictures.
#356. A shot of my two boys playing together. It doesn’t matter to them that they are 12 years apart in age. In fact, I think it adds to the bond. This picture makes me smile!
This is my niece Bell, she is so beautiful, her eyes are so awesome. I love how you can see all the little water droplets on her face!
