Each week, the number one comment we receive back from our Guest Photographer Judge is something like this… “Narrowing down the entries to just 10 favorites was sooooooo hard!”
And now we can say that we absolutely, positively, 100% agree with them. We tried to narrow them down to 100 (and didn’t even make it that far!) and it was so difficult. We have to thank all of you for entering such fabulous photos and making our job so hard! We finally did narrow the entries down to the ones that really just struck a chord somewhere in our hearts.

People’s Choice Voting Guidelines
- This post will be open for votes from now until Friday afternoon (June 3rd – EST)
- Entries were narrowed down by Angie & Amy (co-founders of I Heart Faces) but final winning photos will be chosen by our voters.
- Each computer can vote on 10 different photos.
- Multiple votes from the same IP Address on a single photo will be deleted and not counted towards the final votes.
- We will confirm all votes on Friday night before our Winners Post is written.
- Winning photos will be featured here on our blog on Saturday!
Vote For Your Favorites
It’s your turn to be the Guest Photographer Judge! We hope you enjoy browsing through this final round of photos and voting on your Top Ten favorites…
Tip Of The Day
If you are trying to see if your entry made it into our Top 100+ list, try holding down your “Ctrl” and “F” key at the same time (Cmd F on a Mac). A “Find” box will pop up for you and you can type in the name of your entry (or maybe the name of your blog if we accidentally entered that information instead). This is a super-easy, awesome trick to utilize when you need to find something on an online page!

I first want to say that I too was honored to be chosen. I go through phases with entering contests because they can become discouraging. However they are fun and they help us grow. I think any type of peoples choice will always be a popularity contest because anyone can vote. Kind of the reason I’ll never enter a photo of my child in a cutest kid contest where people can get their entire family, friends, church, and school to vote on a random cell pic and it will win. At least here I feel that I am amongst a community of photographers of all skill level who are all interested in growth and learning. The peoples choice is fun to me because I feel it opens the doors for some of the non-professionals to be chosen. Thanks for having these weekly link ups and helping to inspire us.
I could not agree with you more Michelle… Well said! Thank you Angie and Amy for all of the time you put into this website providing us with great contests and wonderful articles!
I have to say that I was very honored that my entry was chosen by Angie and Amy. I enter as often as I am able, and at times become discouraged. However, photography is an art and what I love may not be likable to someone else…it’s all subjective. And I often feel that these are popularity contests. However, when I start feeling down, I think about how this is an incredible opportunity to improve my skills!
Thank you so much Angie and Amy for all that you do for the photographic community! While it’s not possible of course to please everyone, such negative comments are sure to be hurtful, and you certainly don’t deserve that!
By the way, I love that you mix things up from time to time! And with the increase in entries, I found it much easier to vote this time.
You got it: “they are supposed to come here and just click on the ‘vote’ under our picture?”

I gotta say that tlee, you sound like a very poor sport.
Being completely new to I Heart Faces, I think you are both amazing, creative and brave. Don’t let negative comments get you down….because at the end of the day, you will never please everyone. It’s just one of those life’s mysteries….and the person who works out how to keep everyone happy will be a very rich person one day!!
Keep spreading the “I Heart Faces” love – it is nothing short of inspirational, and beautiful. X
I agree with beth h. Why all the negative comments?
I’m new to iheartfaces and yes my image is in the top 100. Don’t see how it is a popularity contest when i for one don’t even know anyone here (yet anyway!)
The advice, tutorials, links and inspiration from this site is awesome.
Thank you A&A
Reading through some of these comments makes me wonder a bit. It’s a free photo challenge that had the guidelines listed right in the post. Anyone was welcome to enter and no one (even the people who “win”!) actually win anything except the opportunity to have their photo put into a post. Is that really something to get so upset about?
I, for one, am grateful for I Heart Faces and the encouragement and knowledge I have gained here. The challenges are free, the amazing giveaways are free, the advice and tutorials are free, the opportunity to make life changing friendships is free…the list could go on and on. What IHF gives me every day is so much more than what being a winner in one weekly photo challenge could do for me.
Thank you for all you do A&A!
I have to say that I am also very honored to have been chosen as a finalist! I can see how people’s choice can be seen as a popularity contest, and I’m sure my picture won’t be in the top 10. But, I am so flattered to have been chosen by Amy and Angie. I appreciate the accolade from them very much. It’s hard to know if your work is really worth it without the encouragement of other photographers. Thank you two so much!
I would like to start by saying that I feel this is a great way of handling the voting. I looked at every entry yesterday and there were way too many to pick just 10 favorites!!!
I feel so grateful to still be up there. It is so encouraging to see that. Sometimes, though, I feel that the times my photos are not appreciated as much by others as I feel that they should be, my pictures turn out better the next time around. So don’t give up on this amazing website that gives photographers the opportunity to put their work out there. Use it as a challenge to keep working. And even if your photo is not up there it doesn’t mean those that are are any better, just that the small group of people that choose the favorites had different taste. Thank goodness we don’t all have the same taste. This website is great because of the fact that there is a different judge for every contest so the same type of photos do not always win.
Anyways, all that to say, I am a big fan of IHF!
And for those of you who are still voting, check out my photo #96!
THANKS AGAIN!!!
Unfortunately it is a popularity contest it seems. The people’s choice gave others a chance to show their photos off, and have a little fun. Looking back through past winners, everyone seems to have the same “style” and lots of winners are repeated throughout. Or featured throughout the website. It’s a little biased, and if you don’t win, you shouldn’t feel bad. That being said, I am one of the featured photos up there and I kind of want to delete my post. I took the photo but I was copying the style I see winning up here all the time, and that’s just not me.

I voted more than once from the same computer, I’m sorry! I didn’t get a confirmation that I even voted, so I wasn’t sure it went through.

I am so pleased and excited that my photo made the top 100! (#48). Thank you so much!
I LOVE that you did a top 100 and I am sooo honored mine was picked!
After you narrow it down to the top 10 it would be really cool to list maybe just the names of the top 50 in order, or the top25, so some of us can see where we ranked!
I too was cut but that is okay. There were so many to choose from and I am sure there was a specific idea they had in mind. There will be more challenges and there will be other winners! Congrats to everyone who entered because there were some beautiful pics that didn’t make the cut! Keep on snapping away!!!
Popularity or not, I think it’s an amazing opportunity. It gives everyone a chance to strive for something (amateur/pros alike) not necessarily to compete but to improve. Thank you for the chance to try and better myself as a photographer! I am truly honored to be among the amazing talent above.
My entry was #42, yes I have a biased auntie opinion but she makes me smile as well as several other entries we see here or in the original linkz…each one holds a special place in someone’s heart!!
Honored to be in the top 100 (#24) with such a great group of photos!
last comment: it is still a popularity contest and i have finally gotten thru my hard head that i am NOT popular here
but, thats ok…i don’t have to feel popular anyway
maybe next one should just be first 200 entered…period.
I like your way of doing things this week. I think it’s great that you do things differently from time to time. I was starting to feel like peoples choice week was becoming a bit of a popularity contest and I think this will give some new people a chance a winning it. I don’t have a photo in the running this week but I will be voting:) So many great photos to choose from!
Wow I made it into the next round, I can’t believe it. I’m so pleased others like my daughters silly face too! #68
We tried to make it clear in the original entry post that we were going to be mixing things up a bit for this People’s Choice photo challenge. We like to do that from time to time just to keep things fun and interesting around here!
One thing we’ve found is that no matter how things are done, we will receive some complaints no matter what…unfortunately, it’s impossible to please everyone at all times. In previous People’s Choice challenges we received complaints that they were just popularity contests…this time we have received a few complaints that this way wasn’t fair either.
We’ll be sure to keep all opinions in mind for future challenges.
Thanks!

I was cut, too
so, my comment number 9 was supposed to be a reply to Shelly’s comments…but it came up as a free standing comment and not a reply. and, i had my post reday to go like 3 days ahead of time. i was excited for another people’s choice and to come to vote today and discover that cuts were made and mine was one of them…well, it started my off not good, let’s just say that. i will pass on votong since my entry was not worthy of the people’s vote.
Wow I am so excited to have made the cut (#71) ! Thank you so much!!!
agreed. thats what i thought too.
not pleased. matter of fact i went and deleted anything in my blog that referred to i♥faces…because i am rather offended.
Oh no- some of my favorites are gone!
Wow, I didn’t expect it to be narrowed down like this, but I’m ecstatic to have made the cut! I never thought I would! (#77)
Thank you so much for choosing my photo. There is some amazing talent here, and I am truly honored to be in their company.
How exactly does one vote though? I want to tweet and put a shout out of facebook, but I’m not sure if they are supposed to come here and just click on the ‘vote’ under our picture? Or do they comment on our blog post?
