1st Place: Mommy Rachelle
What a wonderful week of Bright and Vivid entries! It was a great theme for summer too, and that was such a nice added bonus.
This week’s Guest Photographer Judge, Heather Parkinson, wrote: I have to admit, it was a bit hard to do this as I am sure most judges mention. I went back and forth deciding what bright and vivid meant to me, the actual colors or the emotion. I attempted to highlight both.
Heather ended up choosing this completely adorable photo entered by Mommy Rachelle as her First Place Winner! Heather wrote: When I pondered upon the bright and vivid theme, I came in with the assumption that the winner would have to achieve this both visually and emotionally. This entry had me from the very beginning. There are the gloves of course, but more so, a pure and bright girl smiling from below those gloves. It just felt so real, great capture! We couldn’t agree more, Rachelle! Congratulations!
2nd Place: Erin Wheeler
3rd Place: Wish Photography
4th Place: Objectif
5th Place: Karin Prunty
6th Place: Rachel Durik
7th Place: 3 Peas and a Bean
I found this one to be one of the most interesting images to look at. It kept my attention with the intersecting lines and the dynamic contrast between the black and white of the trees and the vivid colors of the dresses and birds… and the processing is so clean. Good work.
8th Place: Skai Photography
Can a girl just love a pretty picture?
