Its so nice to see so many new people joining the challenges! I enjoy looking through everyones photos!
I have a question for everyone.
Now I’m not a professional (not yet one day when I have time to learn how to use my camera and photoshop). So majority of my photos are all spur of the moment happen to fit the theme type of photos. Anybody else does this or is staging a photo better for challenges?
Thanks! I’m just trying to learn to see what is best!

Okay, this really makes me wish that it snow in Central California…living in the Valley we get NO SNOW (unless we are in the national park/yosemite area, of which I am not)!! I love this photo challenge but I have no snow in my front yard to photograph. I can photograph some rain! Yes!!!!
My submission is a photograph of my oldest doing the army crawl through the snow. It is rare when we get snow out in California so my kids were beyond excited. I took them out and we played for hours, everyone was soaking wet by the time we got home. It was so much fun and the contract between the white snow and the kids clothes was just gorgeous

I’m not a big fan of winter … but I love all the photo opportunities that the snow gives us. Whether it’s nature or people enjoy nature, you can always count on unique photos.
I love this weeks challenge. The only thing is… I haven’t been in Colorado for any of the snow
I edited a pic of my gorgeous niece, but I feel like it just isn’t right… I’m sure I’m not the only one out there who gets stuck on a photo! If anyone has some possible ideas of a different way to edit it I’m always up for some creative juices!
This photo was taken a few years ago, but it is one of my favorites. We were sledding in Creede, CO with the grandkids and the hill was just too much for them to keep trekking up. Someone came up with the brilliant idea to have Annabelle pull them up the hill. We never thought it would work, but it did. I did not get the photos of her trying to that them under the car though. Was too funny! No one got hurt, and we had lots of fun! Oh the memories!!

Ahhh man! Well, I just got started a month or so ago with my new camera and we’ve had weather in the 40s–60s almost all winter here in oklahoma (which is weird)… so no snow/ winter pics for me! Good luck to all!

Wanted to apologize for my double entry on accident! I hit submit before i verified that my link was correct and it wasn’t..
This is my first entry so I didn’t know if I could delete it or not? didn’t see anything to do so.. so thats why I have 2 entries up there
But anyway – Loved the contest… everyone’s photos make me miss the snow a bit! I live in sunny Phoenix Az… and totally fabricated the cold look
My little one was getting hot because i had her all wrapped up and it was 70 out
(with a later high of 75! crazy right?!)
White felt backdrop was there to give the snowy feel to the background
someone posted above about how much snow we got in te south & you weren’t lying! the only thing that i haven’t really cared much for this winter was the flip-flop weather. one day it’s freezing cold, pending snow.. and by the end of the week it’s pushing 70 degrees & we all have the flu (while it’s calling for snow first thing next week).
either way, i have enjoyed this challenge! i just got back into blogging & this is my new blog so i look forward to linking up with you guys weekly now!
thanks again! off to visit some other entries.
i think there’s a bias against us southerners this week!
but i managed an entry, thanks to the truckloads of “snow” that was brought into one of our parks last month.

What a GREAT challenge! I love winter for all the beautiful photos one can capture!

The picture I entered is from March of 2010. We had a terrible winter and the snow didn’t melt for 5 LONG months, so there was a ton when it finally started. If the temperature and the amount of snow are just right you can build snow tunnels. We had lived in Iowa for 5 years and this was the first time we were able to build snow tunnels…I captured my middle child’s joy!

While we thought we were going to have a white Christmas this year, we only watched it fall on Christmas day. To our wonderful suprise the next day, we had a White Day After Christmas! My son had a blast in the snow. I have never seen a more authentic expression of glee on his face than when I did in the snow. I captured many great photo opps that day but this one is truely my favorite! http://thephotoginc.blogspot.com/2011/01/i-heart-faces.html

We live in Georgia where snow is pretty rare. But we actually had a white Christmas this time! So nice for my relatives who live in Florida. My picture is of my young sister-in-law trying to catch the first falling flakes on her tongue.
Love the snow! We are from northern MI so i think that is a requirement to live here
I love the shot you used for the display picture.

My goal this year is try to take current photos to use in the I Heart Faces challenges so I had to go with the only “keeper” from the shoot I did for this challenge! One thing I’ve learned is that it’s hard to shoot in the snow! White balance and exposure go out the window, but I’m learning!

I just has to enter an awesome photo I took last week of my son, Broc. He’s 30 years old and was born & raised in Louisiana. He’s here in North Carolina visiting us now and he’s never seen snow like we’ve been having around here lately. He has been having a blast playing in it with the dogs. So much fun! But personally, being from Louisiana myself, I’m ready for all the snow to go away.

I wish it snowed, here in New Orleans, more than once every 5 yrs. or so because it makes for such pretty pictures. Love the theme!
Pure Joy is what I think of when I look at my picture
It was the easiest choice in the challenge, so I just had to join!
Have a great white week!

My daughter had just recovered from a snowball fight and was making her escape when she turned around and looked at me. She may have one the first round but I think she got beat in the second.

Not a huge fan of snow…but I live in New Hampshire. We just had 20 inches dumped on us last Wednesday…so what’s a woman with a camera to do? Get the grand kid bundled up so she could experience her first snow storm…she’s not a huge fan of snow either…
