Great contest. I’m just getting into photography as a result of working for a photo contest software company. The site is http://www.photoscramble.com for anyone interested in hosting or entering a photo contest. Thanks.
I just went through most of the entries…what inspiration! Thank you everyone who entered!
I am a photographer and my friend is an artist…at the time she was pregnant and we worked together with the beautiful sun to come up with a piece of art! We were thrilled with the results!
Anyway that I could get special permission to link up…was having computer issues and was finally able to get everything going again. If I can, here’s my link,

My inspiration was my daughter…this photo says so much about her!

My daughter.
It sums her up so very completely
I was inspired…. by blogsites like this one to capture moments with my camera when I see them instead of watching from the sidelines and being too shy to snap that shutter!
Thanks for a great subject for this week’s challenge. I love silhouettes! This is the first time I got up the nerve to enter:

Hi Maria,
We’re not sure we understand…there is no need to download a photo from our site for our photo contests. You need to enter one of your own photos through a blog post or from your Flickr account. You can read more info about how our contests work here: http://www.iheartfaces.com/how-it-works/

I had originally planned on doing a long exposure silhouette against the night sky… but my Bride’s dress was just too gorgeous… I saw the low path lights… and bingo… my favorite silhouette was born… I love it because you still see all the details in her dress… but then their faces and all the small details are still just silhouetted against the sky… the buttons down her back and her birdcage veil and all.

I’ve been trying to enter the contest and it will not let me download the pic!! Can someone tell how to do it?
I had just gotten my first DSLR and was so excited and I really, really wanted to take pictures of a butterfly- in March, in Indiana, it wasn’t happening. The next week we traveled to Florida to Disney World and as we were going out of one of the parks, there to my pleasant surprise was a butterfly garden! Hence the reason for Tinkerbell and the butterfly!
I’m really excited to be a part of this… normally would pay oodles of bucks to see this many photographers in one place.
I can’t believe I’ve just now discovered your blog! The inspiration for my photo was the sunset itself, combined with this amazing field of blonde grass… but the image also captures the closeness my daughter and her cousin share. They are also best friends!
The inspiration for my silhouette picture came from my 3 year old daughter! She is an AMAZING little girl and I wanted to capture her innocence and genuine belief in fairies! She is/was also going through a huge Tinkerbell phase so I thought it would be perfect! Hopefully this is a photo she will cherish forever, I know that I will!!
I am loving looking through everyone’s entries! Beautiful!!
Man, this was a lot harder than I thought it would be! I’m going to keep working to figure out how to capture silhouette images, but for now I’m using a sort of out-of-the-box picture of my shadow I captured last week.

I was excited to see the silhouette contest. The couple was told that after the husband had testicular cancer that they would probably not be able to have any children and then “miracle”!
This photo is so special to me because it is from the destination wedding of my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law!

I am excited to have an entry in this weeks contest. It is my first. I know we can’t change the photo we submit, but I wasn’t thinking and posted it on my personal blog instead of my photography blog. Is there any way I can change that?
I LOVE silhouettes!! I could have put several in my post… but I followed the rules… I really had a hard time deciding on which one. LOL!!
