My scenic black and white was taken just down our country road . The snow had fallen and it looked like a fairytale land. It was such a perfect day :)

This is also my first entry – and I too am hoping that I managed to get it right!

My pic was taken in Cape Town – at Camps Bay – with the 12 Apostles Mountain behind us (and the sea behind me)! How lucky am I to live here????

Hi :) This is my first time entering and I thought I had not done it correctly because it didn’t show up for a while. I entered twice on accident because I thought I had done it wrong. I am sorry.

My photo was taken of a newly engaged couple in a beautiful little neighborhood park in my city. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but in reality it is right next to a busy road and freeway. It was a really fun shoot.

I love the change up for this week’s theme! My image is from my honeymoon last summer in Niagra Falls, ON Canada. The face is my husband!

Hi, I love B&W photos and I took this one in 2009. It remains one of my favorite shots and I hope you all enjoy it as well.

I took this photo of my youngest on the railroad tracks close by our home… the little dress I found for her really gave it a vintage look. :) I love how deep in thought she seems to be while “waiting for the train”

Mine was taken at the WTC Site in NYC on my first visit this past summer. It seems appropriate as a black and white photo, so I am very happy for this challange because it had never occurred to me before, to convert it. I will definitely need to print out a copy now, so one day I can explain it to my daughters.

I took my photo while escaping a photojournalism assignment in Hong Kong – - it was one of my few days to travel and explore without the accompanying writers, and I loved every lost moment of wandering.

I took this week’s entry at the Rotary Gardens in Janesville WI earlier this year, it’s SO gorgeous there.

Lots of great entries again this week, but really there are some that are just so above and beyond!

Amy, you can use flickr and add the iHeartfaces to the comment section, or a blog. Those are the only ways I know of that will work. Facebook isn’t allowed.

Black and White !!!HOORAH! I love the storytelling possibilities of black and white. It lets the viewer be more imaginative. This week, I entered one of my favorite photos I have ever taken (that wasn’t of my own wee babies ;) . I’ve really enjoyed looking at all the entries!

This has been my favourite contest by far! I am a B&W fiend as almost all my family, friends, and clients will tell you! I love how your mind doesn’t get stuck on just the colours in the photograph… but rather, it takes in the SUBJECT of the photograph and digests that. Thanks for this opportunity!

Hmmmm… So I was thinking I didn’t have anything scenic enough to enter, but after looking through some of the entries maybe I do! (I was picturing wide-sweeping landscapes with someone in the photo.) I’m off to scour my files now!

My photo was taken very close to where we live. There is a very large weeping willow that grows very close to the water there. When my daughter was little she would call this tree Grandmother Willow after the disney move Pocahontas. She is not so little anymore but the tree still capitvates her with its magic.

Loved this contest! Loved it!

My photograph is taken at a local river we go fishing numerous times each summer. The location used to be an amusement park many, many years ago, at least according to my grandmother and father in law, both used to go when they were children. Now we take ours there all summer.
