Post image for Pink Photo Contest | Winning Photos!

1st Place: Day McKee

We truly enjoyed browsing through the amazing pink photos that were entered this week in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.  Some photos were filled with simple beauty, others were stunning…some were fun and still others were poignant. And then there were the touching stories that were shared with the photos and many of those made us cry.  Thank you so much for joining this photo challenge and honoring those who have been affected by this terrible disease.

This week’s Guest Photographer Judge, Dana Pugh, has seen her own family affected by breast cancer and we were touched to read the story she shared about their experience. She said that choosing a favorite photo was much tougher than she expected but in the end she chose this photo by Day McKee. She wrote: It was easy for this one to stand out because it was so unique and quite engaging. I really like the use of pink, as well as the creative concept. Well done.

We absolutely love her #1 choice !  Please keep reading to view her other top 10 choices and the “Angie & Amy Picks” as well.

Thank you for choosing my image. Melanie is an inspiring woman. Raising 4 boys under the age of 12, completing Respitory Therapy school while beating cancer; the epitomy of a multi-tasker. Such an inspiration to so many of us!
