Post image for Week 36 • My Summer In Review

Welcome to this week’s photo Linky Tool where all skill levels of photographers are able to join in the fun!

Every month we give ourselves a week off from going through photo challenge entries. We still like to provide everyone with a fun way to show off their photos and link in their stories, so this week we’ll be featuring the theme of “My Summer In Review”.

Sept 7th-11th   “My Summer In Review”

Our “My Story in Photos” feature only has one rule… you need to add our button to your post.  Other than that you can display any and all photos that give us a taste of how you spent your summer. You can have one photo, multiple photos, collages, faces, no faces.  Whatever!  It’s all good.  :)

Usually if you enter a photo into one of our challenges it can never be used on our site again.  Any photos that you use in your “My Story In Photos” can be used in a future challenge as long as you never used it for a previous challenge.

This Linky Tool will also be kept open the entire week for participants to link in their stories.

  • Read more details about this week’s theme here.
  • If you are newer to our site, please read our FAQ’s.
  • If your entry has been deleted, it is because you entered your link incorrectly. Please reenter it correctly using a permalink to your post.

I don’t participate as often as I should but I loved the theme. I spent part of my summer on a yearly vacation visiting friends in Europe. It was amazing and I posted a few images that I had yet to share on my blog.

Fun photos, everyone! My summertime was a whirlwind (in a good way) full of activities. From moving to one apartment in Bakersfield, to another in Las Vegas. Also birthday parties, hikes, swimming in the pool, popsicles, etc! What more can you ask for? I’m excited to keep browsing on other people’s entries and see how their summer went! :)

I’m still trying to get the hang of this, but one of my favorite things I started doing was participating in I Heart Faces!

Thanks for making this an easy one for a first time poster here! The husband and I escaped from reality for a little over a week on a Caribbean cruise. It was absolutely beautiful, and so wonderful to not have to worry about the kids–they got to hang out with the grandparents!

A shot from one of the warm days this summer. Cold water was invaluable this day.

My husband and I camped the island of Maui! It was the best idea ever because we got to see alot of amazing things and it was cheap:) We also went to Peru for 17 days and backpacked, hiked and camped. Now that was an experience I will never forget. The last trip we went on was Alaska…now we are moving there this month:):) Summer was amazing and I look forward to new photographic scenery we will have in Alaska!

I submitted an entry for a photo that I blogged about a couple of weeks ago. It totally summarizes our summer with my almost 2 year old. :)

Love this site – my fall goal is to spend a whole lot more time here.

The best part of my summer was the easy pace. Lazy breakfasts in the gazebo and nowhere we HAD to go to. Oh well…….it’s back to life now!

The best part of my summer was, having my husband home for r&r. It was only for 2 wks, but those 2 wks were the best.

I spent a difficult summer, and that day was the hardest (I lost a loved one). And in the evening after the rain, I saw two rainbows in the sky. It was a beautiful show and I quickly dispatched to photograph them. A twist of fate. This day will forever be engraved in my memory. And this picture sums up my summer.

Silly spam blocker wouldn’t let me link. :( Oh, well. I had a blast looking through the summer pictures to do this little project. It was a great idea.
The best thing about summer for us was watching our little ones play, learn and grow.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I had a great time with my sister in California, and if I had to choose 1 thing, it would be our sunset hike up a mountain on the last day of my visit.

We did a lot of fun things but I think playing with watercolors in the front yard was THE BEST. Happy Autumn.
