I’ve loved going through everyone’s great pictures but it makes me sad that summer is ending!
This is my first time entering in the contest and it is a lot of fun! I have SO enjoyed seeing the photos of fun beach times captured. Thank you for offering this contest to us all!

i let the girls jump into the water … in their white dresses. they were SOAKED. but they loved that i let them.

Living in Salt Lake City, you wouldn’t think that beach would really fit, but one of my favorite places to shoot is “the beach” of the Great Salt Lake – a little more buggy and shallow and waveless than a real beach, but delightful and fun nonetheless! The little sweetie in my picture had never been to a beach before, so this was her first experience with splashing in salty water!

My children LOVE the beach, my older son mostly enjoys building sand castles, but my baby LOVES to be in the water and pretty much eats his weight in sand every time we go – mind you, he’s 16 months old, shouldn’t he be grown out of this by now
. It’s capturing moments like that on camera that remind how much joy they bring into my life, I know we’ll be laughing about #2′s obsession with sand forever.
There is not much like letting go of life for a day or two and enjoying a relaxing day at the beach.
Oh, this challenge makes me want to go on vacation again, STAT!
Thanks to your challenge I realized I’d never taken my boys to a beach! Yesterday I loaded them up and we headed to a small, nearby lake. They LOVED the beach!

I entered a picture from Dreamland Beach in Bali… You can’t see the faces in the photo but you don’t get the idea of how dreamy the beaches in Bali are. Enjoy!

It’s not to often my husband and I escape to the beach for a long walk but a couple weeks ago we did just that as the sun was beginning to set.
4 kids we passed happened to be digging mud up and throwing it in the air, something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before! They were having the best time, while the mom’s sat back relaxing in their beach chairs. I did a semi-circle around the kids and just kept shooting. The shot I submitted it actually a cropped shot omitting 2 of the boys. The girl was having a blast and I think it shows in the photo.

The photo I submitted was from a recent beach shoot that blew me out of the water. I had seen a Facebook photo of my subject that wasn’t so accurate, and I had to replan my entire shoot on the fly! We started out nervous – both of us – and by the end, we were totally hanging out together, and she was having a blast. The shot I’ve included here was my favorite from the shoot – and one of my favorites, ever!

Some of our best memories are our holidays at the beach. My entry is a gorgeous moment between father & son. I just love seeing the two of them playing together – such happiness! True beach fun!

We hadn’t gone to the beach for a few years after a really miserable trip to Amelia Island we took one time in July. Now we try to only take the kids in the fall – so much nicer! No crowds, lower temps, happier kids! This trip that we took last fall was our 1st time back to the beach since the miserable trip. Now they love the beach and talk about how they want to move to Santa Rosa!

I use wordpress all you need to do is copy the badge and paste it in the HTML tab where you type out your post then go back to visual and it should show up. It took forever for me to get it to sh0w up too! If you need more help let me know!

Love the enteries this week. It’s been awhile since I’ve entered one but when I saw this theme, I knew exactly which picture I wanted…nothing better than a grandfather and his granddaughter playing on the beach.

How fun! I’m new to iheartfaces and love the site. Does anyone know how to add the button to a wordpress blog? All I get is the text showing up and not the button. Argh. Also having trouble adding button to the sidebar. Any tips would be GREATLY appreciated!

living on the gulf coast, we didn’t think that our summer would even include any beach trips this year…..but thankfully, our area was only minimally impacted by the oil spill. we were still able to enjoy our beaches, which have always been a huge part of our lives!

We just went to the beach yesterday, so I loved seeing this as the theme this week! Ended up having to take pictures with my little point-and-shoot camera (next time I WILL remember spare batteries, lol) – but I love how this shot turned out.

Living on the coast, it was really hard to pick ONE beach shot… but I chose one of a fun group of high school seniors we did group and individual shots with all at the same time. They were highly energetic and VERY creative, so we figured out a way they could “spell out” they were the class of 2011…. so fun. Good luck with the judging… beach shots are just my all around favorite anyway.

We had the best time visiting friends and getting pulled behind a speed boat on a giant, triangular tube. Super fun times!! Wisconsin lakes rock on hot August days.

Wow. Wonderful photos! I think this will be one of my hardest challenges. I can only pick one beach photo. We have had a wonderful time on the beach this year! Great theme!

Hi everyone! I just thought it would be fun to enter an image from one of our recent trips to the beach. Good luck, everyone!
Just to clarify, when you say faces, the front shot of the person has to be in the photo. Am I to assume that the backs of heads don’t count? Or does it just have to be a human in the photo?
I love this weeks theme! Our favorite summer memory of 2010 is playing on the beach. Hope everyone had a great summer!
