This was fun and the first time I found you/participated!
I do have a couple questions. Someone commented on my post saying my entry was ineligible because there was more than one image in my post. It states one entry for I Heart Faces… that’s the way I understood it, anyway. I have your button, the theme and the photo/description following. It is obvious which one is meant to be entered.

I was reading further and it states to upload the images to Flickr or your site. Can’t I use my OWN site? It really simplifies things if I keep things the way I normally do things.

I have followers that don’t like SO MANY updates messages. I combine as possible to honor their request. So is how I’ve done it acceptable?

I look forward to your reply. ;D Thanks!

I think that I may have put my homepage in my submission rather than my permalink. Here it is http://lilcindylouwho.wordpress.com/2010/08/10/shocked-and-appalled/

Sorry for the mix up-it’s my first contest.

We spent the whole weekend at Kidzapalooza in Chicago and this picture just captured such pure joy and surprise on everyones’ faces. The 3 singers in Recess Monkey are Seattle elementary teachers and look like they have every bit as much fun on stage as the kids they’re “entertaining”.

Tough one to find a photo. I prefer natural shots to posed so I had to think about what surprise meant vs excitement vs joy.Would it be jawdropping or merely the lifting of an eyebrow? I chose a small shock- the surprise of an icy cold wave licking at tiny toes!

This is a picture of my then 3 year old who thought she was talking to Santa on the phone and could hardly believe her self. The only word she could squeak out at top volume was ‘S-s-s-anta?’ The eyes definitely have it.

I didn’t think I was going to have anything until I caught a shot of my son being rather surprised by a polar bear at the zoo yesterday. He doesn’t have that wide eyed look that so many of the entries have (and I wished I had!), but you can tell he was surprised.

My kid loves to surprise people! She hides under blankets on the couch when she hears me or my husband come down the stairs and then shouts SURPRISE! She hides behind things and jumps into rooms. She definitely keeps us on our toes. I wanted to capture her in the act and thankfully while I had her at the park this weekend, she was in fine form jumping out from behind the trees. Luckily she did this a few times and so that is how I got my entry.
