We thought Teens-Only week was great fun and we were completely blown away by the fabulous entries! The teens in our community are definitely creative in the way they view life through their camera lens.
It was lovely to have Alex Kramer visiting as our special Teen Guest Judge this week as well. If you haven’t had a chance to check out her work, make sure that you do. We think she is such an inspiration to all of us!
Because this was a special teen week, we want to help our young readers get totally rad with their photography skills. So we asked our friends at Totally Rad Actions to provide a prize for this week’s First Place Winner!! Thanks TRA for such a great prize!

First Place:
Alex wrote: Choosing my favorite photo was not hard at all for me. As soon as I saw this one, I fell in love with it. Oddly enough, it was the first entry that I clicked on! The contrast is perfect and the girl in it is absolutely stunning. I love the color, the location, the expression on her face, and everything about it. All the little details come together and make this photo fabulous. When I chose my top 10 photos, I looked for creative things that I wished I could have thought of myself. This is definitely creative and beautiful in every way. Great, great job! =)

Second Place:
Contrast is very important to me… and this photo has a lot of it! The angle is so creative and its such a beautiful moment for the girl getting married. I love the black and white.
Third Place:
My favorite thing about this photo is the expressions on their faces. I love how all 3 of them are holding the sparkler. It’s so cute!
Fourth Place:
Out of all the photos I looked at, this one gave me the biggest smile! I love these kids! Their expressions are priceless.
Fifth Place:
I love this moment. It makes everyone else wish they could have a moment like that. The buildings in the background are also so beautiful.
Sixth Place:
How gorgeous are her eyes?! I love all the shades of blue in this photo.
Seventh Place:
This photo has amazing depth! I love the little girl holding the umbrella… she is beautiful!
Eighth Place:
This is probably the coolest thing EVER. I love the idea and it was executed perfectly.
Ninth Place:

I absolutely love the movement in this photo! The lines on the road take your eyes all the way through it, and then you notice the other beautiful colors too.
Tenth Place:
The colors in this photo really pop! The moment is adorable and I love the graffiti in the background.

I recognize the location in the 5th place photo… that is downtown Salt Lake City… I used to live there! They are inside the Joseph Smith Memorial building, and the highly ornate building in the background is the Mormon Temple. Such a need photo! However, my favorite was number two. That is one gorgeous candid!

If there’s one thing I love, it’s what a teenager can do with a camera! Not to mention a little Photoshop, Lightroom, Picnik, etc. Your vision of what’s around you is still so free and untainted. Such awesome creativity you all have!
