Beautiful image Michelle! Thank you so much for sharing it is perfect for this weeks ‘Purple’ theme!

For portraits I tend to prefer a nice clean edit. The little girl is darling and I didn’t want processing to distract. So I kept the edit quite simple, here is the workflow…
- I imported into Lightroom 2, cropped slightly and applied Clayton preset from One Willow Presets. Then I adjusted the tone curve to brighten up the image a little more.
- I exported the image into Photoshop and duplicated the background layer. Using the spot tool to cover a few areas of dryness on her lips. I also used a soft brush on 11% opacity (I used the eye dropper tool to grab the color from her skin for this) to fill the shadows under eyes slightly.
- Next I ran the Lilac Action from Florabella Collection on 30% opacity and using the layers and layer masks tweaked until I had the look I wanted.
- I noticed some blue tint in the whites of her eyes so I created an adjustment layer with Selective Color and adjusted the ‘whites’ by pulling back the cyan and up the magenta and black.
- In my last glance I felt I wanted the tones a bit warmer so I ran the Soft Sunshine Action by Florabella Collection on 30% opacity and using a layer mask with a soft brush erased it over her teeth and eyes.
- Lastly, I finished it up with a quick Sharpen.
