I’ve loved these pictures of Rachel and her husband since she first posted them on her blog. They’re lovely in every way. I think every husband and wife should have such photographs. Rachel, kudos to you for taking the time to create such a beautiful keepsake!!
Ok, so it goes without saying, but this is not a fix-it image; it’s a finesse-it image!
I went ahead and pulled my inspiration for my first edit straight from the recipe website of Totally Rad. Have you seen this site? It’s wonderful; I highly recommend it!
I pulled Rachel’s picture into Photoshop and used the following TRA actions:
1. Claire-ify 78%
2. Prettyizer 54%
3. Get Faded Winter 40%
4. Get Faded Summer 11%
5. F-zero (with no conversion) 73%
Back in Lightroom, I made the following adjustments:
6. Crop.
7. Applied OW’s Washed Edge preset.
My second edit is super simple – using LR alone on the original image.
1. OW’s JPG Tatum II preset. No adjustment necessary!
2. Crop.
3. Used an adjustment brush with negative brightness to darken corners & edges just slightly.

I totally love a great roadtrip adventure with my dudes, or a cozy afternoon curled up with a good book. “Reality” tv totally sucks me in. I prefer my chocolate to be semi-sweet and my Diet Coke to have a squirt of root beer in it. Photography makes my heart sing and waterskiing leaves me sore & limping but deeply satisfied.
